Hey!

I am Kiera,

welcome to my journey.

I’m an adventure seeker, storyteller and video creator, always on the hunt for the next adventure.

I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of different cultures. That curiosity kicked off a journey of self-discovery through travel. As I went on my adventures, I realised how amazing it felt to share these moments with others. People often asked if I was scared to travel alone as a woman, but honestly, it was the complete opposite. I felt more alive than ever!

My mission as a content creator is to inspire women to step out of their comfort zone and grow through adventure.

Why do you write blogs?

My love for writing has always been there. I fondly remember writing stories in my head on overnight trains in India. I’ve explored far-flung corners of the globe with pen and camera in hand. Scribbled tales from remote villages in the Himalayas to describing unique street food flavours from the streets of Myanmar.

I’m inspired every day to share these stories and perhaps inspire you to see the world in a different lens.

But if you had to ask me, I much prefer being in front of the camera!

But life wasn’t always like this, it started somewhere very different…

I grew up in Australia, with my parents having immigrated from Ireland. Their journey to a new country shaped my upbringing, blending Irish traditions with the Aussie lifestyle.

I started travelling in my teens, with my first solo trip to the Solomon Islands for a school project. That trip sparked a fire in me to explore less-visited places and connect with people living lives so different from mine, trying to understand them in a way I hadn’t before. In my late teens and early 20s, I backpacked across Europe, working as an au pair, a tour guide, and even in marketing. Along the way, I met hitchhikers and travellers who took paths I hadn’t even imagined. That’s when the idea to travel overland from Asia to Europe was born. My first big adventure started in Southeast Asia, and over several months, I made my way through countries most people don’t even know where they are on a map, eventually reaching Europe. What a thrill that was. In total I took only 3 planes due to unrest in a some countries.

My next project took me from the bottom of South America all the way to the border of USA. I made it to Mexico after 14 months, before running out of money. When I returned home, I found myself questioning what was next. India had always stuck with me after working in Bollywood there. I’d had a picture of Varanasi on my wall as a teen, captivated by the colours and scenes of people bathing by the holy river in Vanarasi. I took a leap and moved to India to study Ayurveda, and two years later, I returned to Australia with the memories of a lifetime. I thought it was time to settle down and make a life that would make my parents proud. I tried but that didn’t make me happy. That’s when I decided to take a leap of faith and hit the road again, this time in my 30s, with new values and a clearer sense of purpose. And this time would be different… I would start sharing my trip on social media which I hadn’t done before.

I turned to Instagram to document my journey, focusing on cultural trails and pilgrimages that aren’t often shared. I wanted to create what I wish I could see on these social channels.

And here we are today… I’m surrounded by an incredible community of over 100,000 people, I get to share authentic stories from destinations most people have never heard of and the risk of the unknown was completely worth it.
