If you’re like me and have a deep appreciation for the great outdoors, then the Gold Coast Hinterland in Australia, is a treasure trove waiting to be explored. With its stunning coastline, lush rainforests, and diverse wildlife, this sunny corner of Queensland offers some of the best hiking experiences in the world.

Lamington National Park – Toolona Creek Circuit

You might even spot some of the park’s unique wildlife, like the elusive pademelon or the vibrant satin bowerbird.

Starting Point: The Toolona Creek Circuit can be accessed from O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat.

I have hiked all of the hikes listed above and my absolute favourite is the Coomera Circuit in Lamington National Park. Really, all the hikes at Lamington National Park are fantastic. I suggest camping there a few days or staying in O’Reillys Rainforest Retreat accomodation so you can explore the area extensively.
